To be a successful Muslim Scout Leader you must be able to empower and develop your YOUTH, your GROUP and your SELF
Introducing: MSF Leadership Masterclass — a weekend designed to elevate and empower you with skills that will support your journey to become stronger leaders, change-makers, and pillars in your local communities.
This masterclass focuses on the unique challenges of guiding young Muslims, emphasizing mental, physical, and emotional well-being in every session. Through interactive workshops, we’ll equip you with the tools to:
- Inspire Your Youth With Powerful Programmes: Develop the skills to design engaging, balanced, and inclusive activities that resonate with young people. Learn to create experiences that are safe, adventurous, and tailored to inspire growth. A tailor made workshop to meet your specific experience and section requirements (covering modules 12a, 12b, and 17).
- Transform Your Group Into A Safe Third Space: Gain insights into building a supportive environment that promotes positive behaviour and understands the diverse needs of all Scouts, including those with disabilities. Walk away with the skills to implement into your local communities needs, and take the steps towards allowing all of your young people to feel a strong sense of belonging (covering modules 14 and 15).
- Empower Yourself to become a change-maker: Deepen your understanding of effective leadership styles and strategies. Build your ability to lead teams confidently, communicate clearly with fellow adults, and create a collaborative atmosphere that drives success. Discuss methods of conflict resolution and ultimately be able to inspire those around you (covering module 8 and 9).

Nights Away Permit
To lead overnight trips and camps, leaders must be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure the safety and well-being of their scouts. Our Nights Away Permit training is tailored to prepare you for these responsibilities, covering everything from risk assessment to campfire safety.

- Camp Planning and Management: Learn how to plan and execute successful overnight camps.
- Safety and Risk Assessment: Understand the protocols for ensuring a safe camping environment.
- Advanced Leadership Skills: Through the Wood Badge program, develop a well-rounded leadership style that enhances your effectiveness as a scout leader.
Activity Permits: Specialisations in Outdoor Skills
At MSF, we recognise the importance of offering a diverse range of activities to engage scouts and broaden their experiences. To support this, we provide leaders with specialized activity permits in various areas:
- Rifle Shooting and Archery: Obtain permits that allow you to safely conduct shooting and archery sessions, ensuring you meet all necessary safety and skill requirements.
- Intro to Hill Walking: Gain the skills and confidence needed to lead scouts on hill walking adventures, focusing on navigation, safety, and environmental awareness.
- Water Activities: Get a taste of water-based activities with permits that cover the basics of kayaking, canoeing, and other aquatic adventures.
